Deep Tissue

The deep tissue massage is a technique that focuses on the connective tissue located between the layers of muscle tissue. Its aim is to release chronic patterns of tension in the body through slow strokes and deep pressure on problem areas, either following or going through the fibers of the muscles, tendons and fascia.  The key to effective deep tissue massage is to progressively increase the pressure and penetration, warming up and penetrating the muscle fibers through continuous, slow, methodical work.  Deep tissue massage also helps break up and eliminate scar tissue. The deep tissue massage usually focuses on specific areas and can cause some pain during or after taking massage. However, if the massage is done correctly you should feel better than ever in one or two days.
